Living Dead Fest returns

EVANS CITY — The 2014 Living Dead Fest, dedicated to the 1968 classic film “Night of the Living Dead,” is this weekend, mainly in EDCO Park.

Hours are 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

“Night of the Living Dead” was the first movie to feature flesh-eating zombies. Tickets range from $15 to $45.

The festival runs concurrently with one of Evans City’s Hallo-Weekends

Food, art, wine featured

FOXBURG — The Foxburg Food, Art & Wine Festival will feature chain saw carving, musical entertainment, vendors and food throughout the day Sunday on Main Street in downtown Foxburg. For more information, visit gofoxburg.com.

Grove City hosts fall fest

GROVE CITY — The Grove City Fall Fest in Memorial Park runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Scarecrows in the Park display and contest will be held. About 300 pumpkins will be available for children to decorate for free. Pumpkins usually are gone by 2 p.m.

New this year is a soup contest. Other activities will include chili and pie bake-offs, a cupcake bake-off for children and other children’s activities, crafters and hay wagon rides.

Parking is available at the park and the high school.
