H. Lynn Maihle

H. Lynn Maihle, 93, of Valencia passed away Thursday morning at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Adena, Ohio, on Aug. 31, 1921, he was the son of the late Allen Franklin and Edna Fague Maihle.

Lynn had been a millwright for Halstead Industries in Zelienople.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his three sons, Bruce L. Maihle of Valencia, David K. Maihle and his wife, Christine, of Bangor, Pa., and Jay A. Maihle and his wife, Tammy, of Valencia; his granddaughter, Emma Maihle; his sister, Ruth Stephenson of West Sunbury; his three brothers, Fred Maihle of Meridian, Gene Maihle and his wife, June, of Tucson, Ariz., and Evan Maihle and his wife, Carol, of Jersey Shore, Pa.; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Hill Maihle, who he married on Sept. 16, 1947, and who died on Feb. 28, 2010; his sisters, Louise, Betty and Frieda; and his brothers, Bert, Carl and Pete.

Lynn Maihle, who passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, will be received from 6 to time of services at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, with the Rev. James Kirk, pastor of the Valencia Presbyterian Church, officiating.
