Gertrude L. Troyan, 91, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Butler.

Born on March 26, 1923, in DuBois, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Edith Mae Harder Harris.

She was a retired clerk for S&H Green Stamps following 10 years of service.

She was a member of the St. John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, where she served as a member of the Ladies Guild.

She was an avid Pirates fan who enjoyed going to the beach and cooking for her family.

Surviving are her two daughters, Irene Troyan of Valencia and Nancy Lucas of Cabot; her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Troyan of East Butler; her nine grandchildren, Frank and Mike Zbuckvich, Kathy Geibel, Dawn Bennett, Kelly Schaffer, Cory Lucas and Eugene, Doug and Denny Troyan; her 17 great-grandchildren; her three great-great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, MaryEllen and Frances; and her brother, Jack, all of DuBois; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Troyan, who passed away on Oct. 27, 1999; her son, Don Troyan; and her 13 brothers and sisters.

Troyan — The family and friends of Gertrude L. Troyan, who passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Parastas services will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora, with the Rev.
