Marie V. Grystar

Marie V. Grystar, 98, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Lyndora, passed away Tuesday at Paramount Senior Living, Mars.

Born on May 1, 1916, in Lyndora, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Marcella Hoder Gawlikoski.

She was a self-employed seamstress for 60 years. She was a member of the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Surviving are her two daughters, Regina Danko of Cranberry Township and Marcella Scholle of Ohio; her five grandchildren, Michael Danko, Aileen Danko, M.D., Matthew Danko, Rachel Hardy and Lori Cleveland; her seven great-grandchildren; and her two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Grystar, who passed away on Aug. 5, 1982; her three sisters; and her brother.

Grystar — The family and friends of Marie V. Grystar, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 303 Penn Ave., Lyndora, with the Rev. James Murphy to officiate.
