Butler County Symphony Orchestra will open its season with “España,” featuring guitarist Nicholas Goluses, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at Butler Intermediate High School. Music director and conductor Matthew Kraemer will present a pre-concert lecture at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the symphony office, 259 S. Main St., or at showclix.com. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students, plus a handling fee of 50 cents per ticket if purchased in the symphony office or a fee of $3 per adult ticket and $1.50 per student ticket if purchased through the showclix website. Music in the Courtyard concert series will present The Rumblers playing oldies at 2 p.m. Oct. 19 in the courtyard at Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St. The free concert is hosted by the library and the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home. Refreshments will be provided.

Succop Nature Park, formerly the Succop Conservancy, is celebrating its new moniker with a picnic and music from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 16. The park, at 185 W. Airport Road, is open from dawn to dusk, with dog-friendly walking trails, two ponds, and spaces for outdoor activities.

The second annual Pittsburgh Youth Harmony Festival, open for free to teens and music educators, will take place Oct. 4 at Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia. The festival begins with registration at 8 a.m. and ends with a free show for the public at 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by the North Hills Harmony Line Chorus, Barbershop Harmony Society; and the Greater Harmony Chorus, Sweet Adelines International.
