Helen “Mrs. Mac” (MacDonald) Michaels, 90, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Butler, passed away at 1:22 p.m. Aug. 16.

She was born Oct. 22, 1923 in Greensburg to the late John Sekora and Pauline (Lenartz) Sekora.

“Mrs. Mac” was an accomplished equestrian and instructed many children and adults to ride, along with her husband, Jack, of Jack MacDonald Stables. She also worked at Butler County Community College.

She was a member of the White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church in Connoquenessing Township and the Eastern Star 45. She also enjoyed china painting, charcoal drawing and horses.

“Mrs. Mac” is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Primeau and her husband, Gary, of Clearwater, Fla., Betsy Cotter and her husband, Frank, of Millstone, N.J., and Jacqueline Robinson and her husband, Duane, of Renfrew; two grandchildren, Robyn Matkowski and her husband, Michael, of Hoboken, N.J., and Caryn McKay and her husband, Sean, of High Bridge, N.J.; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Anne Rupert of Brookville; two stepsons, Ronald Michaels of Florida and James Michaels of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

“Mrs. Mac” was preceded in death by her first husband, John “Jack” MacDonald; her second husband, Mike Michaels; and four brothers.

MICHAELS — Friends of Helen “Mrs. Mac” (MacDonald) Michaels, who died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, will be received from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert C. Huber of the North Street Christian Church officiating.
