Joseph Nolan

Joseph J. Nolan, 62, of Adams Township, formerly of Shaler Township, passed away Sunday afternoon in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Sept. 19, 1951, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Thelma Wysocki Nolan Sr.

Joseph was a heavy steel project manager for S.N.C. Lavalin, Pittsburgh.

He was a member of the St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church of Cranberry Township and a former member of the St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church, Glenshaw.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Catherine A. Davey Nolan, who he married on July 5, 1980; his three loving daughters, Elise Gides and her husband, Andrew, of Valencia, and Tara Nolan (Matthew Brennan) and Kathleen Cancilla and her husband, Mark, all of Mars; his granddaughter, Serafinah Gides; his three sisters, Sharon Nolan Rosenfeld and her husband, James, of Boston, Mass., Kathleen Greiner and her husband, Thomas, of Buffalo, N.Y., and Elaine Montanino and her husband, David, of Michigan; his three brothers, Thomas Nolan and his wife, Irene, of Brooklyn, N.Y., Kenneth Nolan and his wife, Tracy, of Indiana and Michael Nolan of Buffalo, and his many nieces and nephews.

Nolan— Friends of Joseph J. Nolan, who died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church, corner of Clark and Cherry streets, Mars, with the Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.
