SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — The Slippery Rock School District has an assistant superintendent again.

The school board on Monday voted to hire Patricia Kardambikis.

She will start Oct. 1. She has a 3-year-contract and will be paid $105,000 per year.

Kardambikis currently is an assistant superintendent at the Peters Township School District in Washington County.

The Slippery Rock district has not had an assistant superintendent since 2011.

That position was eliminated after Jean Allen retired from it in 2011.

However, the school board recreated the position this year.
