The newly renamed Succop Nature Park, formerly Succop Conservancy, will celebrate its new moniker with picnics from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday as well as Oct. 16 and a croquet match from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 28. The park is open from dawn to dusk with dog-friendly walking trails, two ponds, and spaces for outdoor activities and education.
Zelienople Community Park will have a concert by Eugene and The Nightcrawlers from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 20 at the amphitheater. Admission of $5 supports the park. Hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks will be available. Call 724-452-0231 or visit zelienoplecommunitypark@gmail.com.
“Music in the Courtyard” concert series, hosted by Butler Public Library and Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, takes place in the courtyard at the library, 218 N. McKean St. Concerts are free, and refreshments will be provided. The TMG Jazztette will play jazz tunes Sept. 21 and The Rumblers will play oldies Oct. 19.
