Alathea M. Hildebrand

Alathea M. Hildebrand, 88, of Otter Street, Franklin, passed away at 9 p.m. Monday at The Caring Place, Franklin.

Born on July 11, 1925, in Butler, Alathea was the daughter of the late William “Doc” and Mary (Broad) McCune.

She was a graduate of Slippery Rock College.

Alathea was employed as a teacher, first for the Butler School District and then for 28 years as an elementary teacher at Hasson Heights Elementary.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Franklin.

She was an avid reader and bridge player and enjoyed traveling.

Alathea is survived by her son, Lance Hildebrand and his girlfriend, Barbara McMillin, of Franklin; her devoted son-in-law, James Davis of Franklin; her brother, Richard McCune and his wife, Louise, of Butler; her sister, Joyce Marnic of Butler; and her grandchildren, Bob Davis and Jill Davis of Franklin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Davis, and her son, Timothy Blair Hildebrand.

Hildebrand— Services for Alathea M.
