Valjean L. Robb
Valjean L. Robb, 87, of Slippery Rock passed away at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
She was born on June 22, 1927, in Butler to the late Marion C. Hay and Viola I. (Elliott) Hay Gillman.
Mrs. Robb was a homemaker and a Presbyterian by faith. Her love of gardening, needlework and bingo was just a part of her wonderful nature.
Mrs. Robb is survived by her three sons, Frank M. Robb Jr. of High Springs, Fla., Arthur Robb and his wife, Leann, of Slippery Rock and Kenneth Robb and his companion, Kathleen Nolan, of Slippery Rock; her two daughters, Patricia Hurd and her husband, Rex, of Hilliards and Lynda Weitzel and her husband, Ernest, of Butler; her five grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her brother, Jack Hay of Butler; and her sister-in-law, Rose Hay.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Robb, who she married on April 22, 1946, and who passed away on April 19, 2001, and her brother, Robert Hay.
Robb— The friends of Valjean L. Robb, who passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Pastor Robert C. Huber of North Street Christian Church officiating.
