Dorothy Mae Wegner Anderson
Dorothy Mae Wegner Anderson, 75, of West Sunbury passed away Saturday at the Arbors at St. Barnabas, Gibsonia.
Dorothy was born on Feb. 28, 1939, in Allegheny County. She was the daughter of the late Charles E. Wegner and Eleanor Bruce Wegner.
She was a graduate of Tarentum High School and had been employed as a histology technician at the Allegheny Valley Hospital. After relocating to this area, she became a member of the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church and had been employed as a telephone operator at VA Butler Healthcare Hospital until her retirement in 1986.
Dorothy is survived by her brother, Charles E. (Linda) Wegner Jr. of Harrisville; her two nephews, Charles E. Wegner III and Robert Scott (Lisa) Wegner; and her three great-nieces, Ivy, Emma and Lydia.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Anderson, who she married on Sept. 19, 1985, and who passed away on July 5, 2013.
Anderson — Private burial for Dorothy Mae Wegner Anderson, who passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, was in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.A combined memorial service for Richard and Dorothy Anderson will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 W. Old 422, Butler, with the Rev. Jeff Curtis, her pastor, officiating.Arrangements are entrusted to the William F.
