Thomas F. Lipinski

Thomas F. Lipinski, 89, of East Brady passed away Saturday at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born on July 9, 1925, in Kaylor, he was the son of the late Thomas T. and Agnes M. (Bedner) Lipinski.

On June 23, 1949, Tom married Deanie Hile. They built themselves a new house in East Brady that they lived in for more than 50 years.

A World War II veteran, Tom served with the U.S. Navy on the USS Intrepid in the Pacific Theatre.

Tom retired from a career with the Witco Corporation, Karns City.

A former member of the St. Patrick Church and most recently of the St. Eusebius Church, Tom served as a Eucharistic Minister. For many years Tom offered rides to Mass to many and helped folks however he could. He befriended many priests over the years and cherished their friendships.

An avid sports fan, Tom especially enjoyed Notre Dame football and Cleveland Indians baseball. He loved golfing and for many years was a PIAA official for high school football, basketball and baseball. Tom also helped maintain East Brady area baseball fields.

Tom is survived by his wife, Deanie Lipinski of East Brady; his sister, Mary Evelyn Lindquist of North Olmsted, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, John, Stanley and Michael Lipinski.

Lipinski, who passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend, with the Rev. John Butler celebrating.Committal services, military honors and burial will follow in St. Eusebius Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the Lipinski family suggests memorial contributions be made to the East Brady Ambulance Service, P.O.
