Michael P. Diaz Sr., 44, of Butler passed away at 11:29 p.m. Thursday at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 11, 1969, in Mineola, N.Y., to Catherine M. (Angelicola) Diaz of Butler, and the late Desiderio L. Diaz Sr.

Michael was self-employed and Baptist by faith.

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his wife, Maria C. Diaz of Kissimmee, Fla.; his two daughters, Angelina M. Diaz and Catherine R. Diaz, and his two sons, Michael P. Diaz Jr. and Mark A. Diaz, all of Butler; his paternal grandmother, Erminia Diaz of Long Island, N.Y.; his brother, Desiderio L. Diaz Jr. of Cobleskill, N.Y.; his sister, Maria Omstead-Wagner and her husband, Michael, of Butler; his three nieces, Amber, Brittany and Sarah Omstead; and his aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Diaz — The friends of Michael P. Diaz Sr., who passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Pastor David Maitland of First Baptist Church officiating.
