CENTER TWP — Steve Zanicky, John Hutchison, John Zanicky and Fr. Doug Lorance shot 14-under-par to win the annual Ukrainian Open best-ball golf event recently at Stoughton Acres.

The team won a tiebreaker over Matt Brown, Mike Ross, Jeff Montgomery and Como Passione. Chad Hassler, Paul Gentile, Chris Solloski and Dave Dimico finished third at 10-under.

Eagle County game postponed again

Game 3 of the Eagle County Baseball League championship series was postponed by rain Tuesday for the second consecutive day.

Mars and Mars II will now meet at 6 p.m. today at Marburger Field. The best-of-5 series is even at one game each.
