Ella E. Leighty

Ella E. Leighty, 86, of Cabot, formerly of Clinton Township, passed away Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born on May 15, 1928, in Allison Park, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Betty (Heymanns) Jeuther.

She worked as a supervisor for Du-Co Ceramics and was also a self-employed beauty shop operator. She was a member of the Clinton United Presbyterian Church. Ella also served as judge of elections in Clinton Township for many years. She enjoyed sewing.

Surviving are her sons, James L. (Diane) Leighty of Midlothian, Va., and Gerald W. (Heidi) Leighty of Oxnard, Calif.; her daughter, Barbara (John) Phillips of New Bethlehem; her six grandchildren; and her eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Leighty, who passed away on April 24, 2011; her brother; and a granddaughter.
