Barbara Jeane Buffington, 75, of Butler passed away June 27 at her home.

She was born on Oct. 21, 1938, and she was the daughter of the late Michael and Barbara Ann Berncic Rudar.

Her favorite job was managing the Sun and Moon Shop where she designed and made Native American Indian jewelry and clothing for re-enactments. She was a former member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

She enjoyed nature and spending time outdoors. She was an avid animal lover who enjoyed the wild as well as the tame, and also enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are her three children, Joseph Richard (Frances) Martin of Harwick, Elizabeth (William) Richardson of Hillsville, Va., and Veronica “Nica” Buffington of Slippery Rock; her sister, Donna Schmidt, and her brother, Michael Rudar, both of Millvale; her six grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
