Eugene L. 'Snuffy' Mansfield

Eugene L. “Snuffy” Mansfield, 84, of Renfrew passed away Wednesday.

Born on May 30, 1930, in Spring Church, he was the son of the late Clair and Irene (Wiser) Mansfield.

Eugene was a member of the Mars and Zelienople sportsman's clubs. He was a former member of the Harmony Moose Lodge 957 and the Lion's Club. An avid outdoorsman, Eugene loved hunting, fishing, growing fruits and vegetables and chopping wood. His storytelling and great sense of humor will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Marilyn Joyce (Heffernan) Mansfield, who he married on Sept. 24, 1952; two of his children, Donald Mansfield and his companion, Linda Mitchell, of Valencia and Cynthia J. Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas; his sister, Wilma (Mansfield) Gordon of Seminole, Fla.; his six grandchildren, Christopher Mansfield and his fiancee, Lisa Obledoble, Jessica Mansfield and her fiance, Nathaniel Benz, Christina Mansfield and her companion, Christopher Jones, Joshua Mansfield, Jason Hernandez and his wife, Cynthia, and Justin Hernandez and his wife, Renee; and his four great-grandchildren, Victoria Mansfield, Ava Hernandez, Montgomery Benz and Caleb Hernandez.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Edwin Mansfield, who passed away Feb. 22, 2014; his three brothers, Donald, Richard and John; and his son-in-law, Jesse Hernandez.

Mansfield — Services for Eugene L. “Snuffy” Mansfield, who passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014, will be private by his family.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
