John Skoch

John J. Skoch, 80, a resident of Boyers, who lived at the Trinity Living Center, Grove City, passed away at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Johnny was born on July 7, 1933, in Pittsburgh. He was the son of the late John and Lillian Skoch.

He was raised in Pittsburgh and was a member of the Reserve Township Fire Department until he moved to Boyers in 1966. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Johnny was a very outgoing person. He loved angels and his family believes the angels came to take him home.

He was a member of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Forestville. He was retired from Slippery Rock University in the housekeeping department.

Surviving are his sister, Linda Laslavic and her husband, Rudy, of Boyers; his brother, Warren Skoch and his wife, Barbara, of Slippery Rock; his four nieces; his nephew; his six great-nieces; his three great-nephews; and a great-great-nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Skoch.
