George Dickson

George Samuel Dickson, 73, of Butler passed away Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 26, 1940, in Butler, the son of the late Samuel S. and Anna E. (Smith) Dickson.

George was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a Protestant.

George enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.

He was retired from Armco and was a member of the American Legion in West Sunbury.

Surviving are his two sons, Andrew Dickson of West Sunbury and Roger Dickson of Tennessee; his two grandchildren, Tyler and Samantha; his two sisters, V. Jean (Clair) Dreher of Butler and Anita Bowser of Chicora; his girlfriend, Linda Peppler of Ford City; his sister-in-law, Ruth Dickson of Butler; and the mother of his children, Rosalyn Moran of North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Dickson.

Dickson — The friends of George Samuel Dickson, who passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 until the time of service at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
