Matt McCarthy picked up the win on the mound, striking out eight and walking just one is 6 1/3 innings, as Saxonburg finished off Zelienople in the decisive Game 3 of an Eagle County League first-round playoff series 11-4 Thursday evening.

Dustin Uhlman had a pair of doubles and three RBI to lead the 11-hit attack for Saxonburg.

Dustin Lalle added a double, single and two RBI for Saxonburg.

Rick Moyer had a RBI double for Zelienople.

The best-of-five second round of the Eagle County League playoffs are now set with No. 3 seed Saxonburg set to take on No. 2 seed Mars II and No. 4 seed Cranberry set to battle No. 1 seed Mars.

Both playoff series will begin on a day to be determined.
