Lucille M. McCann

Lucille McCann

Lucille M. McCann, 94, of Beaver Falls passed away Wednesday at her home.

Born on Dec. 12, 1919, in Lyndora, she was the youngest of the eight children of the late Leonardo and Carmella Marinaccio Miano.

She was a graduate of Butler High School, a member of The Church of the Nazarene of New Brighton and a sales clerk at G.C. Murphy of Ellwood City.

She is survived by her husband of more than 40 years, James L. McCann; her stepson, James L. (Debbie) McCann Jr. of Oviedo, Fla.; her stepdaughters, Jamie L. (Fred) Wilds of North Sewickley Township and Cathy V. (Thomas) Wilds of North Sewickley Township; her seven stepgrandchildren, Jason (Lauren) Wilds, Justin Wilds, Krystal Wilds, Brittany Wilds, Sarah Wilds, Haley (Blaine) Calhoon, and Zachery McCann, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mike, Tony, Lawrence, Pete and John Miano, Annie DeStasio, and Mary Bucci.

She will be remembered and loved for generosity from the heart. She greeted everyone with Italian hospitality that included hugs and kisses. She was a wonderful cook and an avid baker — cream cups and pizzelle cookies being her family favorites.

She lived every moment never speaking a harsh word and always giving the benefit of the doubt. She made many memories with those she loved while roller-skating, swing-dancing and camping.

The family wishes to thank Celtic Hospital for all their love, care and dedication.
