Edward Horstman

Edward C. Horstman, 82, of Butler, formerly of Tionesta, died Friday at the Colonial Gardens Guest House of Butler.

He was born Nov. 18, 1931, in Butler, son of the late Vincent C. and Isabelle (Grable) Horstman.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War.

He was a member of the VFW Post in Oil City. When living in Tionesta, he attended the Tionesta Church of God.

Surviving are one son, Bruce E. Horstman and his wife, Janet, of Butler; three daughters, Patricia Horstman of Morgantown, W.Va., Kathleen Balkey and her husband, David, of Butler and Jo Ann Albertson and her husband, Shane, of Oak Grove, Minn.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Horstman and his wife, Barbara, of West Sunbury; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Horstman, and one sister, Irene Horstman.

HORSTMAN — There will be no public visitation for Edward C. Horstman, who died Friday, June 13, 2014, and all services held will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.Private burial will take place at Mt. Collins Cemetery in Tionesta.Condolences may be sent by e-mail to condolences@wimerfuneralhome.com.
