Ronald Paul Schiebel passed away suddenly Monday at his home in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born in Butler on Oct. 3, 1937, to Bernard and Margaret Schiebel.

Ron served in the U.S. Army for 22 years and retired as a master sergeant, E8.

He loved God, his family and his country.

He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Wilma; two daughters, Julie (Joby) Paslay of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Lisa (Pat) Haines of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren; the joy of his life, his seven great-grandchildren; his brothers, Jim and Sonny; his sisters, Pearl, Sis, Sandy and Bonnie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Buzz and Jerry; and one sister, Irene.
