Mary E. Burr, 85, of Mars passed away Wednesday morning at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Mars on Feb. 19, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Hilda Davison Clark.

Mary had worked in the housekeeping and laundry department at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Surviving are her six daughters, Mary D. Burr and her husband, Raymond, of Amarillo, Texas, Charlotte Downing of Evans City, Lila Woodard in Florida, Janice Kaltenbach and her husband, Ron, of Connoquenessing, Marsha Kuhn and her husband, Paul, of Bedford and Judy Pfeffer of West Sunbury; her two sons, Joseph F. Burr and his wife, Edna, of New Galilee and Charles R. Burr and his wife, Mary, of Slippery Rock; her sister, Carol A. Doyle of Monaca; her 17 grandchildren; her 21 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Milton Burr, and one grandson.

Burr— The friends of Mary E. Burr, who passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
