William Lynn 'Bill' Wulfert

William Lynn “Bill” Wulfert, 82, of Parker passed away Saturday evening at Sugarcreek Rest Home at Worthington following an illness.

Born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 22, 1931, he was the son of the late Lynn and Helene McGinnis Wulfert.

He was married on June 30, 1956, to the former Mary Louise Terwilliger, and she survives.

Bill was a graduate of the former Karns City High School.

He was an honorably discharged veteran with the rank of sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. Serving in the Korean War, his specialty was that of loadmaster.

He was a longtime and faithful member of the VFW Post 7073 of Parker where he had served as commander and trustee. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 598 at Parker.

Bill was employed nearly 45 years with Koppers, now Indespec, at Petrolia as a pipe fitter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Karen (Robert) York of White Post, Va., and Randy, Mike and Rick Wulfert, all of Parker; his six grandchildren, Karen, Aaron and Sunee Wulfert, and Chris, Becca and Daniel York; his sister, Barb (Ralph) McMillan of Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lou Wulfert.

Wulfert — Visitation for William Lynn “Bill” Wulfert, who passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, will be private for family only.
