The Old Stone House at the intersection of Routes 8, 173 and 528 in Brady Township will host Open Hearth Cooking and a Bake Oven Combined Class on July 12 and Aug. 16; Open Hearth Cooking, Sept. 13; Bake Oven, Sept. 20; and a Harvest Dinner, Oct. 18. Tours of the historic site are offered 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village in Avella, Washington County, will host an Independence Day celebration July 4. Meadowcroft is open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for senior citizens, and $6 for children 6 to 17. Call 724-587-3412.

Carnegie Science Center, North Side, hosts the Blue! exhibit through Jan. 1. Blues and bluegrass performances will be held at 1 p.m. Saturdays through Aug. 30. Admission is $17.95 for adults and $11.95 for children 3 to 12.Fort Pitt Museum in Point State Park each Saturday through Aug. 30 will host Summer Saturdays at the Fort, included in the regular admission of $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, and $3 for children 6 to 17.
