Joseph W. Ventura Sr.

Joseph W. Ventura Sr., 85, of Hampton Township passed away Thursday with his family at his side.

Born Oct. 6, 1928, in Daisytown, he was the son of the late Amedeo and Domenica (Piermarino) Ventura. He was the beloved husband of Antoinette (Cerreto) Ventura for 65 years. They formerly lived in Butler, Swisshelm Park and Rankin.

Joe, an Army veteran, owned and operated several automobile dealerships in the Pittsburgh area. With his wife, Antoinette, they owned American Tours Inc., retiring in 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Antoinette (Cerreto) Ventura; his sons, Joseph Ventura Jr. and wife, Asuntina, of McCandless Township and Francis Ventura of Butler; his daughter, Beth Ann Ventura of Allison Park; his grandchildren, Anthony, William, Sarah, Fontaine, Elise, Alexandra, Hannah and Faye; and his great-grandchildren, Domenic, Tanner, Kennedy, Chase and Jude.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Celeste Ventura Woods and Mary Ann Ventura; and his siblings, Peter Ventura, Mary Angelini, Elise Pallone and Armand Ventura.

VENTURA — The family of Joseph W. Ventura Jr., who died Thursday, May 22, 2014, welcomes friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the King Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park.A Mass of Christian burial will be held be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 2510 Middle Road in Glenshaw.He will be laid to rest at the All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery in Pittsburgh.Memorial donations may be made in his honor in support of Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind Children, 201 N. Bellefield Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Joe's family at www.kingfuneralhome.com.
