Francis A. Cupps

Francis A. Cupps, 85, of Butler passed away Friday at his residence.

Born May 1, 1929, in Butler, he was the son of the late Harry and Rose McLaughlin Cupps.

He retired as an electrician from Armco Steel in 1991, following 42 years' service.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and also a member of the Alhambra.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Cupps of Saxonburg and Stephen Cupps of Butler; one daughter, Nancy Cupps of Butler; one sister, Florence Stickney of Williamsburg, Va.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Shaffer Cupps, who passed away May 26, 1992; three brothers, Regis, Alfred and Eugene Cupps; and two sisters, Margaret Cratty and Helen McGuirk.

CUPPS — There will be no public visitation for Francis A. Cupps, who died Friday, May 23, 2014.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. in Butler. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum.Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St. in Butler.
