Make way for Monsters

Ricou Browning played “The Creature from the Black Lagoon” in all three Creature movies. He is the last living person to play one of the classic Universal Studios' monsters, and he is scheduled to appear at this weekend's annual Monster Bash in Marshall Township.
Chilly Billy among bash special guests

MARSHALL TWP, Allegheny County — Monster Bash, the film festival featuring classic monster vendors and guests from films and television, takes place Friday through Sunday at the Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh North, 910 Sheraton Drive.

Special guests will include 1950s science fiction star Laurie Mitchell; Ricou Browning from “The Creature from the Black Lagoon,” Joel Hodgson from “Mystery Science Theater 3000,” Judith O'Dea from “Night of the Living Dead;” Charles Herbert from “13 Ghosts,” “The Fly” and “The Twilight Zone;” Jay North and Jeannie Russell from “Dennis the Menace” and Pittsburgh's own Chilly Billy Cardille.

The Monster Bash is a family show with children younger than 12 admitted free with a paying adult.
