Herald's 4 hits key BlueSox triumph

Butler High School product Cody Herald went 4-for-5, including a double, and collected four RBI as the Butler BlueSox cruised to a 10-1 road win over the Champion City Kings Monday evening.

Butler (11-6), which also received four hits, two runs and two RBI from leadoff hitter Stephen Sada, out-hit the Kings 17-6. The former scored four runs in the fourth inning and four more in the seventh.

Mick Fennell, also from Butler, scored one run and drove in another.

Starting pitcher Ben Hartz earned the win with one strikeout and three walks over six innings. He allowed just one unearned run on four hits.

Austin Ross (one) and Dave Yakopec (two) combined for three scoreless innings to end the game.
