Rock cager heads to Luxembourg
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University mens basketball player Maurice Lewis-Briggs signed a contract Wednesday to play in Luxembourg’s Total League, which is country’s top professional league.
Lewis-Briggs signed with the BBC Black Star Mersch. Three other former SRU standouts Denell Stephens, Devin Taylor and Darious Clark also play in the Total League.
Lewis-Briggs played one season at The Rock after transferring in from Moorehead State. He averaged 17.4 points and 7.6 rebounds last season.
Twelve Rock players have signed professional contracts since 2009.
