Diane Grossman

Diane R. Grossman, 74, of New Sewickley Township, passed away Friday at Family Hospice and Palliative Care in Mount Lebanon.

Born on Aug. 31, 1939, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late George and Jane Datum.

For more than 30 years, Diane enjoyed working as a bus driver for the Mars School District.

She loved gardening plants and flowers, knitting, crocheting, and making arts and crafts with her dear friends every week. Diane was a strong woman who will be remembered for her honest personality. Above all, she was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Dale Patton of New Sewickley Township and his children, Zachary and Melinda Patton and Amanda (Terry) Scobie; her son, David (Maureen) Patton of New Brighton; her son, Scott Grossman of New Sewickley Township; her daughters, Barbara Vinroe of Butler, Robin Detling of California and Wendy Grossman; her brother, Richard “Dick” Richards; her seven additional grandchildren, and her nine great-grandchildren with one on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth John Grossman in 1998.

Grossman— Services for Diane R. Grossman, who passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, will be private by her family.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Diane's honor to help support her son, Dale, with his cancer treatment expenses, c/o Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 219 E.
