A bear attracted attention Thursday while in a tree at the intersection of Routes 422 and 528 near the Butler Fairgrounds. Alan Vagasky, who was driving by with his wife around 2 p.m., said although a few people gathered to watch, the bear “looked around a couple of times and went back to what he was doing.” Vagasky said they contacted the Pennsylvania Game Commission which recommend leaving the bear alone saying it would move along.
