FAIRVIEW TWP — A motorcyclist was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital about noon Thursday following an accident at the intersection of Cherry and Buena Vista roads.

The accident, which occurred just before 11:30 a.m., involved the motorcycle and a Kia minivan.

Authorities at the scene said the man, unknown name or age, was flown by Stat MedEvac with unknown injuries to a hospital.

The helicopter landed on the nearby Catalpa Road.

There was no information on whether the driver of the minivan had any injuries.

State police are investigating the crash.

The Chicora Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
