BUTLER TWP — After an inventory check, only three 35 mm cameras were stolen in a break-in and vandalism incident at Butler Intermediate High School over the weekend.

Mike Strutt, superintendent of the Butler School District, said while other items were moved, such as a laptop and fire extinguisher, nothing else was taken during two break-ins over Memorial Day weekend.

They occurred Saturday morning and Tuesday morning.

He declined to elaborate on what kinds of messages were written in spray paint on the walls, the ceiling tiles and the floor, not wanting to compromise the investigation of the school district and township police.

Strutt said the messages were “fairly innocuous.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 724-285-9600.
