Spring show ends Friday

This is a close-up of one corner of a quilt made by Lillian Reeher. The quilt and other artwork will be displayed at the annual spring show at The Art Center, ending Friday.

The Associated Artists of Butler County’s 84th annual spring show will come to an end with a presentation of arrangements by area florists from noon to 6 p.m. Friday.

Each will represent a different work of a master artist: Jack Vettriano, Jan Vermeer, Gustav Klimt, Marc Chagall, Jackson Pollock, Edward Hopper, Franz Marc and Salvador Dalí.

The floral pieces will be raffled off at the end of that day.

The Art Center, 344 S. Main St., is open noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

Gallery admission is free. Call 724-283-6922 or visit www.butlerartcenter.org.

Upcoming exhibits include a regional woodturners show from June 13 to July 11 and the invitational art show from July 9 to 18 in Cranberry Township and from July 23 to Aug. 2 in Butler.
