Kenneth G. Maker, 68, of Butler lost his long and courageous battle with cancer Thursday with his loving wife of 48 years by his side at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born on April 4, 1946, in Butler, he was the son of John and Helen Fejko Maker.

He was employed by Emerson Electric as an electronic technician, retiring in 2004 following 38 years service.

Surviving are his wife, Elaine Bachura Maker, who he married on Dec. 29, 1965; his two daughters, Theresa Maker and Christina (Scott) King; his grandchildren, Amanda and Nicholas King; his brothers, John (Jeanne) Maker and Robert (Debi) Maker, and his numerous nieces and nephews.

Maker— The friends of Kenneth G. Maker, who passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday with an informal prayer gathering at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
