Wilda Belle Groves, 86, of Butler passed away Sunday at her sister's home.

She was born on May 13, 1927, in Unionville, the daughter of the late Francis Lewis and Laura (Harbison) Martsolf.

Wilda was a member of the North Street Christian Church and a former member of the Tanglewood Center.

Surviving are her two sisters, Geraldine (Floyd) Heemer of Butler, and Lucile G. Martsolf of Greenville, S.C.; her two brothers, George (Mary Ann) Martsolf and Dale (Betty) Martsolf, all of Butler, and her many nieces and nephews to whom she was a loving aunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Lee Van Fossen, who died on Feb. 9, 1972, and her second husband, Joseph Lewis Groves, who died on Sept. 28, 1980; two brothers, and her infant sister.

Groves — The friends of Wilda Belle Groves, who passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with her pastor, Bob Huber, officiating. Interment will be in the Rock Hill Baptist Cemetery in Flushing, Ohio.Contributions may be made to the North Street Christian Church, 226 W.
