Lelia 'Lil' (DeMattis) Blum

Lelia Blum

Lelia “Lil” (DeMattis) Blum, 94, of Zelienople passed away at 11:19 a.m. Tuesday at Allegheny General Hospital.

She was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Butler, to the late Joseph DeMattis and Helen (Renzetti) DeMattis.

Mrs. Blum was a member of Christ's Outreach Church.

She retired from John's Mansville in Zelienople as a payroll clerk.

Mrs. Blum is survived by her two nephews, Charles Furl, and Reynold Hilliard and his wife, Deborah, all of Butler; her great-nephew, Ryan Furl; her three great-nieces, Nicole McKenna and her husband, Brian, Michelina Stickney and her husband, James, and Gina Bollman and her husband, Dennis; and her two great-great-nephews, Jacob Furl and Kellan McKenna.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. “Jack” Blum, who she married Aug. 27, 1942, and who passed away Dec. 28, 1990, and her sister, Emma Garwig.

Blum — The friends of Lelia “Lil” (DeMattis) Blum, who passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will immediately follow at noon with Pastor Gary A. Koontz of Christ's Outreach Church officiating.
