LAS VEGAS — Doug Thomas, owner of Thomas Construction in Grove City, was honored as a Contractor of the Year finalist, and received the Contractor of the Year Safety Award from construction equipment manufacturer Caterpillar at a March 8 event.

Thomas Construction was among 12 national finalists for Contractor of the Year 2014, sponsored by Caterpillar and trade magazine Equipment World.

The company specializes in general construction and site development in Western Pennsylvania.
