Pauline Ruth Anderson (Wonderly), 88, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ at 11:52 a.m. Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot Campus.

Born on Sept. 13, 1925, in Cabot to the late Harry and Hattie Wonderly, Ruth lived her entire life in the southeastern corner of Butler County.

She graduated from Winfield High School, and shortly after her graduation, she got married.

She married Walter J. “Trigger” Anderson on March 17, 1943, while he was stationed in Alabama. For a time they lived in Manhattan, Kansas, while he was training to head overseas during World War II. After he was discharged, they built a house in Sarver where their daughter, Dana J. Anderson McCoy, was born.

Ruth loved being outdoors, whether it was mowing lawns or gardening. An avid gardener, she enjoyed planting both a large vegetable garden as well as many flower gardens over her lifetime.

She also loved serving in her church in the Ladies Guild at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver.

Surviving are her son-in-law, Mark McCoy; her three granddaughters, Alise McCoy Chaffins, Laura McCoy Cooksey and Megan McCoy Wright; and her seven great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter; her sister, Elizabeth Wonderly Hosack; her brother, Paul; and her parents.

Anderson — The friends and family of Pauline Ruth Anderson (Wonderly), who passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014, can call at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday with a memorial service at 3 p.m. with the Rev. James Neal officiating.
