The Old Stone House has public tours Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. through Oct. 26. The Old Stone House at the intersection of Routes 8, 173 and 528 is operated by Slippery Rock University. Call 724-738-2409.

Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, 401 Meadowcroft Road, Avella, Washington County, is open for the season. An atlatl competition will be held June 21. In May, Meadowcroft is open noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.

National Aviary, 700 Arch St., will host a Bald Eagle Tour at 9 a.m. Saturday; cost is $35 for nonmembers. The tour will show both the bald eagles inside the aviary and the ones at the Hays nest site. An Eagles of the World Weekend is planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
