Mars High School students will stage “Seussical the Musical” at 7:30 p.m. May 30 and 31 in the auditorium.

The musical is based on the Dr. Seuss children's books, including “Green Eggs & Ham,” “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish,” “Horton Hears a Who!” and “Oh, the Places You'll Go!”

Tickets are $5, and proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For information, call 724-625-1581.

The cast includes Carl Stokes as the Cat in the Hat, Allen Shaffer as Horton the Elephant, Allison Wright as Jojo, Lindsay Seipp as Mayzie LaBird and Valerie Cesare as Getrude McFuzz.

CONNOQUENESSING TWP — The Butler Chainsaw Carving International will be held Friday to Sunday at the Butler Farm Show Grounds, Route 68.Twenty-six carvers will be featured. There will be auctions on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $7.

RIMERSBURG — The Rimersburg United Methodist Church will host its fourth annual car cruise from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at 399 Main St. The event will be held rain or shine. Food will be available from 3 to 5 p.m. For information call 814-473-6105.

SAXONBURG — The Saxonburg Fireman's Carnival will run June 9 to 14.Events include the Pet Parade at 7 p.m. Monday, water battle at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and the Fireman's Parade at 6 p.m. Thursday.The carnival is open 6 to 11 p.m. nightly.

PITTSBURGH — The National Aviary’s “Taking Flight: An Aerial Adventure” debuts May 24 to kick off the summer season.Shows will run twice daily at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. outdoors in the rose garden.The show is included free with regular admission, which is $14 for adults, $13 for senior citizens and $12 for children.Call 412-323-7235 or visit www.aviary.org
