PENN TWP — Bailey Tardy of Norcross, Ga., carded a 3-over-par 145 to win the 36-hole U.S. Women’s Open Sectional Qualifier Monday at Butler Country Club.

Tardy won the U.S. Girls Junior Golf Championship in 2013 and will golf for the University of Georgia in 2015. She took up golf five years ago and has a goal of playing on the LPGA Tour.

Jessica Porvasnik of Hinckley, Ohio, shot a 146 and Jennifer Song of Ann Arbor, Mich., shot a 148 to also earn berths in next month’s U.S. Women’s Open in Pinehurst, N.C.

There were 76 golfers in the field with 11 withdrawing at some point during the qualifier.
