Harry Bergbigler

Harry R. Bergbigler Sr., 91, of Butler passed away Monday at his home.

He was born Dec. 21, 1922, in Summit Township, the son of the late Frank and Carolyn (Yokum) Bergbigler.

Harry attended Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church.

He retired from Castle Rubber after 39 years of service.

He liked gardening, especially growing potatoes and gladiolas. He also loved dogs.

Surviving are his wife, Lottie (Peters) Bergbigler, who he married Feb. 1, 1945; his daughter, Sherry Bergbigler of Butler; his three sons, Richard Bergbigler of Eaton, Ohio, John Bergbigler of Butler, and Thomas F. Bergbigler of Butler; his 14 grandchildren; his 14 great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren, and his brother, Walter Bergbigler of Saxonburg.

He was preceded in death by his son, Harry Bergbigler Jr.; his two brothers, and his half sister.

Bergbigler— Friends of Harry R. Bergbigler Sr., who passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, will be received at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. James A. Lynn officiating.
