Donald Gall

Donald Regis Gall, 81, of Butler passed away Sunday at his home.

Born in Butler on May 10, 1932, he was the son of the late Henry and Charlotte Leroy Gall.

He worked in plant maintenance for the Pittsburgh Metals Purifying Co. for 38 years.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy.

Donald was a member of the Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church of Butler and the American Legion Post 945 in Harrisburg.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Stokes Gall, who he was married to for 31 years; his two daughters, Sharon McLaughlin and her husband, Mark, of Butler and Brenda King of Butler; and one daughter-granddaughter, Madison Regis McGraw and her husband, William Jr., of Houston, Texas.

He also is survived by his four grandchildren, Madison McGraw, Ian McLaughlin, Amy McLaughlin and Col McLaughlin; his two great-grandchildren, Kira McLaughlin and Makenzi McLaughlin; his two brothers, Albert Gall and his wife, Jacqueline, of Butler and Marcel Gall and his wife, Genevieve, of Butler; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Henrietta Herrit.

Gall — The friends of Donald Regis Gall, who passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Merry Hope Meloy, pastor of the Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park.Members of the VFW Post 249 and the American Legion Post 778 will meet at the funeral home at 6:45 p.m. Thursday for memorial services.For more information, please visit www.martinfh.net.
