Betty L. Bratkovich
Betty L. Bratkovich, 79, of Karns City, formerly of Frogtown, passed away Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born on Feb. 8, 1935, in East Brady, she was the daughter of Delmar and Mary (Brothers) Greenawalt.
Betty first married Harry R. “Buster” Kiser on Aug. 7, 1953, and he preceded her in death. She later married John M. Bratkovich on Jan. 24, 1998. He also preceded her in death.
A 1952 graduate of East Brady High School, Betty was a secretary for Clarion County, worked in the cafeteria for the Armstrong School District and later retired from Moonlight Mushroom, where she was a picker.
Betty was a lifelong member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Bradys Bend where she was a choir member. She was a member of the Young at Heart at St. Patrick Church, the Red Hat Society and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Diana Weibel and her husband, Jay, of East Brady and Sondra Guthrie and her husband, James, of Cowansville; her two sons, Timothy Kiser and his wife, Pam, of Karns City, and Daniel Kiser and his wife, Michelle, of Karns City; and her step-daughter-in-law, Maureen Bratkovich of Butler. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren; her four sisters-in-law, Joan Greenawalt, Doris Bearfield, Alice Groves and Mildred Griffiths; and her brother-in-law, Sam Hamilton.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her sister, Delores Hamilton; and her brother, Ted Greenawalt.
