PITTSBURGH — Colin Galey of Mars and Leslie Kramer of Slippery Rock were the top Butler County male and female finishers, respectively, at Sunday’s Pittsburgh Marathon.

Galey, 23, finished 50th among the males with a time of two hours, 58 minutes. Dean Rippee, 58, of Saxonburg was 86th in 3:02.25.

Kramer, 36, was 18th among females in 3:14.18. Becky Searight, 22, of Slippery Rock was 32nd in 3:22.12, Rebecca Smith, 20, of Cranberry Township 72nd in 3:31.25.

Ethiopian Gebo Burka Gamade was the overall male winner in 2:16.30 while Greene County’s Clara Santucci was the female winner in 2:32.25.

A record 23,458 runners participated in the marathon.
