Robert Briggs Jr.
Robert Briggs Jr., 88, of Monroeville passed away Tuesday.
He was the beloved husband of the late Flora L. (Twardowski) Briggs; loving father of Kathy (Joel) Ball, Debbie (Jack) Cross and Robert (Meribeth) Briggs; devoted grandfather of Deanna (William) Supancic, Jessica Briggs, Matthew (Kristina) Cross, Melissa (Joseph) Hyzy and Lisa and Holly Cross; great-grandfather of Grace Supancic, and Anthony and Lukas Cross; brother of Margaret Ellen (the late Lou) Babuscio, Tony Briggs, the late Ruth (the late John) Brown and George Briggs; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob served in the Navy during World War II in the South Pacific.
He was a longtime member of the St. Colman Church, and the Turtle Creek VFW.
He was retired from Edgar Thomson Steel in Braddock. Bob was a huge Pittsburgh sports fan.
